The actual blood
supply index is used to assess the condition of the cardiovascular system.
The actual blood
supply index (IK) is calculated using the Starr formula.
IK reflects the hemodynamic
of the body. According to this indicator, the biological age of the patient can
be determined.
The index rate
varies depending on age limits.
A decrease in this
indicator relative to normal values indicates that the cardiovascular system of
the subject does not meet age criteria. This result can be interpreted as
premature aging of the body. An index higher than normal values also indicates
a discrepancy between his passport age and his biological age, but in this case
the patient’s body ages more slowly, which is a positive factor. Such patients
tolerate surgical interventions better and recover faster from various medical
procedures and illnesses.
The
actual blood flow index is designed to quickly assess the cardiovascular
system.
